Jules De Martino was in the indie bands Babakoto and Mojo Pin
De Martino was in a trio with Katie White called "Dead Eskiimo", which fell apart after about a year.
As a child, Jules was always listening to the B-Sides of records.
Drawing on the percussive tendencies that come to him naturally, Jules experimented with an interface between his drum kit and a series of effects boxes, among them a pair of Boss RC-50s, customized to provide an improvisational flexibility essential to the Ting Tings' live performances.
Jules played a large part in creating the synthesis of percussion and electronics that forms The Ting Tings signature sound and allows them to improvise well with one another.
