Jules De Martino began playing drums at the age of 13. When he was 17, he was in an indie band called "Babakoto". Babakoto released a single in 1987 entitled "Just to Get By". After Babakoto split up, Jules became the lead singer in another indie band called "Mojo Pin". Mojo Pin released two singles: "You" in 1995 and "My Imagination" in 1996.
De Martino met
Katie White in London while producing her girl band TKO. At the time De Martino was Tomcats producer (a boy band signed to Virgin) after a tour supporting Melanie C over the UK, the band split up and De Martino hooked up with White again and a DJ friend to form Dead Eskiimo. Jules
